City streets: pavement, curbs, and the long block

City walking is repetitive. Same stride, same impact, thousands of times. The cork footbed helps because it spreads pressure instead of focusing it under the heel. On concrete, I notice the difference after about an hour. With cheap flat sandals, my heels start talking. With Arizona, they stay quiet.
